How to use Instagram’s new stories Feature

How to use Instagram’s new stories Feature

Instagram just released its stories function, cool right? Some say that Instagram has copied Snapchat a lot since they released the stories function long before Instagram. We can only assume..

The stories function works almost exactly as Snapchat stories if you´ve used it before. The photos or videos you upload there stays for 24 hours and then disappears. This is a fun way to constantly have fresh content on your page.

So how do you make a post on the new feature?

  1. Tap” How to use Instagram's new stories Feature” in the top left of your screen or swipe right from anywhere in Feed.
  2. Tap the round middle button at the bottom of the screen to take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video. You can also tap Boomerang at the bottom of the screen, then tap the circle to take a burst of photos that loops forward and backward.
  3. You can tap on the pencil in the top right corner and “Aa” to add text or draw on your story. Tap Undo to remove an effect or Done to save it.
  4. You can tap Cancel to discard your photo or video, or tap “Save” in the bottom left corner to save it to your phone. When you’re done, tap the arrow in the bottom right corner to share to your story.

How to use Instagram´s new "stories" function

When you post a photo or video to your story, it is visible on two places.

On your profile: A circle will be visible around your profile picture when you have uploaded a story. When people tap your profile picture, they can see your story. Photos and videos from your story don’t appear on your profile feed. Only when people press on your profile photo.

In your feed: Your profile picture will appear in a row at the top of your followers’ Feeds, and they can tap it to see your story. To see who has watched your story, open your story and swipe up on the screen. There you will see how many people who has watched your story and the names of everyone aswell.

You are the only one who can see who has watched your story.

Hope you have learnt “How to use Instagram´s new “stories” function”!
